Who is Jeff Ferguson’s wife? Jeff Ferguson is a 72-year-old man who happens to be a judge based in California. He has been arrested hours ago by the Homicide Detectives for killing his wife whose identity has not been immediately established in the interim.

Jeff Ferguson has served as a judge in Orange County Superior Court since 2015. He previously spent more than three decades with the Orange County district attorney’s office, during which he worked as part of the Major Narcotics Enforcement Team, according to the North Orange County Bar Assn. Ferguson served as president of the association from 2012 to 2014.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers received a worrying call around 8 p.m. for a reported shooting.

When police arrived at the scene located at the 8500 block of Canyon Vista Drive they found Sheryl Ferguson, who was Jeff Ferguson’s wife, with at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate she was 65 years old before her death. 

According to a publication made by CBSNews, Authorities said Ferguson was arrested and booked into the Anaheim Police Department’s Detention Facility on a $1 million bail. 

A neighbour, John Poulter, said the news of the shooting and arrest was “tragic.”

“It’s a shock,” he said, adding that he frequently saw the Fergusons walking their dog around the neighbourhood.

He added that the neighbours exchanged pleasantries when they saw each other in the street and that he never expected anything like this to happen.

“So many people in the neighbourhood flooded the street [afterwards] and just kept repeating, ‘There’s no way he could have done this,’ ” Poulter said.

Detectives have not released any additional details because the investigation is ongoing.
